Happy 40th Anniversary, Mom & Dad!

May 14th is always a big day in our family because we celebrate two things on that day. First of all, it is my dad's birthday. He turned 79 this year! His health has deteriorated greatly over the past few months, so this birthday is especially important to us. We also celebrated my parents' 40th wedding anniversary.

This is the card that I made for their anniversary. First, I made my card base using magenta cardstock. Nest, I stamped the Spring Flower Block on white cardstock, trimmed it, and accented it with Sparklets Glitter. I mounted the image on black cardstock using foam squares. The white block is punched with the Deco Scallop edger punch and corner punch from EK Success. For my sentiment, I chose the Small Congratulations Stamp and stamped one of the flowers from the Elegant Spring Flowers set. (This set is one of my favorites!) I finished off my card with a knotted black ribbon and pearls. All products (except the pearls) are by DeNami Design.

The design of this card is from the Repeat Impressions blog.
