A Little Counterfeiting...

Here's a quick peek at the project I'm sharing over at I Heart {ippity} today:

Using my {ippity} to counterfeit some yummy Amy Tangerine!  (Although I counterfeited the flower, I did have a weak moment yesterday and bought the matching paper, LOL!)

Say What?!

That's the name of my February Counterfeit Kit. :)

Speech bubbles are a major part of my life right now-it's what we're working on in my classroom during Writing Workshop, and it's also the design of my favorite paper in this month's inspiration kit by Scraptastic:

I knew just the paper that I wanted to include-a cute purple/teal speech bubble print from My Mind's Eye's Lime Twist collection.  I then went to work, substituting papers and embellies, and counterfeiting quite a few items.  Here's my kit, called Say What?!:

Papers from American Crafts, SEI, My Mind's Eye, Stampin' Up, and We R Memory Keepers.

Alpha Stickers from Basic Grey and Making Memories, tab stickers from SEI, rub-ons from Close to My Heart (Thanks, Bethany!), flag clips from K&Co., and mistable "arrows" (actually houses turned sideways!) from Studio Calico.

Lots of little embellies from K&Co. and SEI, some Cricut die-cuts, and my own little chevrn bag made from patterned paper. :)

The inspiration kit also had these stamp sets as an add-on:

With my weakness for stamps, Ijust had to make my own little set from my stash:

Fun, huh?  I can't wait to break into it!  I still have a ton of January leftovers, but I might have to file them away on the shelf so can break into this one soon. :)

Kiwi Lane Designs Blog Hop

Good morning, scrappy friends!
I am excited to be your next stop on the Kiwi Lane Designs Blog Hop.  If you didn't start hopping at the beginning, please visit the Kiwi Lane Designs blog to be sure that you don't miss out on any of today's fabulous projects.
PLUS-there is an awesome PRIZE up for grabs!  Just leave a comment on each of the stops along the hop.  One lucky, random commenter will win a $25 gift certificate from Kiwi Lane Designs!  Kiwi Lane offers fun designer templates that are adorable and totally portable-no bulky die cutting machines, so they are perfect for crops!

The template set that I used for my projects is called Tiny Sweetheart:

The heart template was perfect for this CAS card.  I simply traced the template onto white cardstock, cut it out, then covered it with colorful washi from K&Co.  A rub-on sentiment made for a super easy and sweet "miss you" card:

Next up is a card that I made using the flower and the bracket shape.  Once I started this design, however, I realized that the flower was just too big for the look that I was going for.  So, I cut apart the petals, cut a snip in the center of each petal, then folded the petals over and gently curled the edges.  Perfect-love the added dimension!

Finally, I loved the bracket shape so much that I cut two from coordinating prints, then pieced them together to create a large die-cut background for my over-sized card.

Also, with the exception of the washi tape, all of the supplies for this project came from my January Counterfeit Kit!  I loved that everything was right there for me-I wasn't overwhelmed by looking at my entire stash to create my projects!  Check out this month's inspiration kit HERE.
