Kiwi Lane Designs Blog Hop

Good morning, scrappy friends!
I am excited to be your next stop on the Kiwi Lane Designs Blog Hop.  If you didn't start hopping at the beginning, please visit the Kiwi Lane Designs blog to be sure that you don't miss out on any of today's fabulous projects.
PLUS-there is an awesome PRIZE up for grabs!  Just leave a comment on each of the stops along the hop.  One lucky, random commenter will win a $25 gift certificate from Kiwi Lane Designs!  Kiwi Lane offers fun designer templates that are adorable and totally portable-no bulky die cutting machines, so they are perfect for crops!

The template set that I used for my projects is called Tiny Sweetheart:

The heart template was perfect for this CAS card.  I simply traced the template onto white cardstock, cut it out, then covered it with colorful washi from K&Co.  A rub-on sentiment made for a super easy and sweet "miss you" card:

Next up is a card that I made using the flower and the bracket shape.  Once I started this design, however, I realized that the flower was just too big for the look that I was going for.  So, I cut apart the petals, cut a snip in the center of each petal, then folded the petals over and gently curled the edges.  Perfect-love the added dimension!

Finally, I loved the bracket shape so much that I cut two from coordinating prints, then pieced them together to create a large die-cut background for my over-sized card.

Also, with the exception of the washi tape, all of the supplies for this project came from my January Counterfeit Kit!  I loved that everything was right there for me-I wasn't overwhelmed by looking at my entire stash to create my projects!  Check out this month's inspiration kit HERE.
