Naughty or Nice?

I know that there are still a couple of months until Christmas, but crafters tend to think about holidays well in advance. If you're like me and stamp all of your holiday cards, chances are it takes you several months just to build up your stash!
Today I'm sharing a Christmas card that I created for the I Heart {ippity} blog.  It comes with a built-in gift card holder on the front:
I used the adorable new holiday set from {ippity} called "Naughty. Nice. Not Sure." Seriously, how CUTE is this little Santa? I colored Santa with Copics, and paper-pieced the list with some vintage text paper from My Mind's Eye. A punched border along the top of the kraft bag adds a fun touch and lets the gift card peek out.
This design would also work great for lottery scratch tickets! The guys (and kids!) in our family LOVE scratch tickets in their stockings-what a fun way to dress them up, holiday-style!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Some Halloweeen {ippity}...

Just a quick post today to share two Halloween projects that I created recently for the I Heart {ippity} blog.  Heather Flaherty is my {ippity} chick-and she would love to be yours, too!  Just click on her lovely photo on the Unity Stamp Co. website and shop away!

First up is a colorful little card:
Next is a tag perfect for attaching to a bag of Pumpkin Spice coffee:

Both projects use {ippity}'s new Halloween Itty Bitty, "Halloween Greetings".  I just love that little witch!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Check back in the morning for another {ippity} project-this one has a Christmas theme!

Sending Koala Love

I had fun yesterday playing with my newest Lawn Fawn stamp sets.  I think my new favorite is Critters Down Under.  The little koala in the set is just the cutest!  I thought he would be perfect for this week's Lawnscaping Challenge, Color Splash:

Here is my card-with a splash of peachy pink:

Color splash challenges are THE hardest for me because I love lots of colors and patterns.  I do love this little guy, however.  I acgtually used him as a little experiment, too.  I colored him with Spectrum Noir markers instead of Copics.  There is an awesome deal on them this week at A.C. Moore ($7.88 for a set of 6), so I picked up the set of Warm Greys to try.  Definitely not the same quality as Copics, so I will definitely not be switching over.  However, with this sale, they are an inexpensive way to add to my colors as I build my Copic collection.

Oh, and to finish off my little koala, I added a super cute black nose with Ranger's Enamel Accents.  It makes is look like a real little nose!  Definitely going to try that again!

Thanks for popping by today!

I Heart {ippity} Blog Hop

Happy Friday, everyone!

Welcome to the I Heart {ippity} Design Team Blog Hop!  I am SO excited to be part of Heather's {ippity} team.  I love sharing fun projects with you!

First off, if you are not familiar with {ippity} then you are missing out! {ippity} is a line of rubber stamps manufactured by the Unity Stamp Co. The {ippity} line is separate from the Unity line but has the same wonderful quality, it is marketed though Unity Endorsed {ippity} Chicks, reps for {ippity}.     Although I am no longer selling {ippity} myself, I *happen* to have a fabulous friend who does!  Heather Flaherty is my {ippity} CHICK and would love to be yours! To order {ippity} just go to the Unity Website and on the left hand side click {ippity} - Pick a CHICK & Order. That will take you to the {ippity} chick page where you can pick Heather as your {ippity} Chick

My project today allowed me to play with some of my Copics.  I just got Copic certified, so I want to color all the time! LOL  One of the techniques we learned was a stonewash technique, but I also thought it looked like colors that get faded in the summer.  I tried this technique on this butterfly from {ippity}'s Devoted stamp set.  I also added a touch of Spica Clear glitter to the butterfly wings.  The sentiment is from Music of my Heart.  Although it doesn't show well in the photo, I also pierced a line under the sentiment to "ground" it.
To make this blog hop even more fun, Heather is giving away a prize to one person who comments on all of the DT blogs! So get commenting! LOL

Blog Hop Line Up:

Happy Halloween

I have a few projects to share using {ippity}'s newest releases. This was a card that made for a recent Paper Crafts magazine. Sadly, it was not chosen, but I still wante to share it!
I used {ippity}'s new stamp set, "Sucks to Get Old". I just love that sweet little lollipop! I colored my lollipops and bows with Copic markers, and I layered the round "pop" to give it some dimension.
The "Happy Halloween" sentiment is from a retired Unity stamp set. I really love the background paper on this card, too. It is an embossed chevron design from SEI. I *think* it is from the "Spooks" collection. Super fun and glossy!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. If you would like to order this stamp set, just head over to the Unity Stamp site-HERE is a direct link to "Sucks to Get Old". I'd appreciate it if you would also click on me as your {ippity} chick!

CAS Lanterns

I am lovin' my new Copics! This card is really the first time that I have really used them since taking my class in April. I'm still learning how to shade and blend, but I was so happy with the way these lantern came out! The challenge for this card, believe it or not, was the size: 4"x9". This was the requirement for this week's CAS-ual Friday Challenge.
I used cardstock and stamps from this month's Counterfeit Kit. I can't believe the number of projects that I have made so far with this kit-more than all of the others combined, I think! So far, I have made 2 single-page layouts, a double-page layout, and 11 cards! Plus, I have 4 more layouts in mind-just need to get my photos printed! Hopefully I can get those done before the August kit is revealed!

Orange You Fabulous!

Just a quick share today-my entry for the Skipping Stones Design sketch challenge. I used the Birthday Purses stamp set from Skipping Stones Design-and I love this sentiment! It's my favorite in the whole set. :)

I also attempted some Copic coloring. I'm embarrassed to admit that I haven't used these at all since coming home from Manchester. I have a limited amount of colors that blend, but I think they work well with this stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to come back tomorrow for a fun envelope tutorial that I made for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog!
