I paired the image with some pretty papers from Momenta's Let's Party Pyramid Pad.  I also colored white satin ribbon with a Copic marker to get exactly the right color to match my image.  It's one of my favorite tricks!

Happy Birthday Wishes

Just a quick share today using some patterned paper strips that I had leftover from a class. I also used this week's sketch from Chick Challenges {with ippity}. You can now use both {ippity} AND Unity stamps for the challenge, so I paired an {ippity} frame and "happy birthday" sentiment with a "wishes" stamp from Unity. They fit together perfectly! I love combining my sets like that-love getting more mileage from the stamps that I already have!

I have also been making a ton of new cards using the new {ippity} stamps that are coming out on thursday.  they are SO cute!  I can't wait to share them with you!  Here is a sneak of one of my projects using one of the new sets:

I am happy to be playing along with some of my favorite challenges this week. It has been a long time since I've been able to join the Play Date Cafe challenge, but this week's colors really appealed to me:

I used a few different {ippity} flower stamps to create a bouquet.  Then I added a fun twist on my neutrals-newspaper!  I also used sketch FTL179 from Clean & Simple Stamping.  This is a new-to-me challenge blog.  No winners, no prizes-just fun sketches to boost your creativity!  If you love skertches, please be sure to check it out. :)

Huh?

This share is a fun little card that could be used for announcing a pregnancy (not me! lol) or for congratulating someone on THEIR good news.  Make sure they have a good sense of humor! :)

The pregnancy test stamp is from {ippity}'s "Preggo" stamp set.  The "huh?" sentiment is from Unity's "Mix-up of Cuteness" set.  I couldn't figure out when I would ever use this little sentiment, but when I looked through my stamps yesterday, it just clicked that these two stamps would be fun together!  You can get both right on the Unity Stamp Co. website-just be sure to choose me as your {ippity} chick once you're there! I am also entering this card in the CAS Challenge over on the {ippity} blog.  It's fun to Keep it Simple! :)

Priceless Friendship

I finally got a chance to play along with this week's Chick challenges {with Ippity}!  Many of you know that this is the challenge blog that I run with my sweet friend and fellow {ippity} chick, Jenny Johns.  Sadly, I rarely have a chance to join in.  I knew that this week's sketch would be perfect for an idea that I had in mind for the new "Fabulous Girl" stamp from {ippity}.

I imagined this sketch as a store window, filled with retro style dresses.  I started with a 3x3.75" white panel, which I stamped and paper-pieced with several different patterned papers.  Then, I cut the panel into three sections and adhered it to my black card base.  I drew some little price tags to go along with the sentiment and the theme of the card.  I was so happy with the results!

Happy Halloween

I have a few projects to share using {ippity}'s newest releases. This was a card that made for a recent Paper Crafts magazine. Sadly, it was not chosen, but I still wante to share it!
I used {ippity}'s new stamp set, "Sucks to Get Old". I just love that sweet little lollipop! I colored my lollipops and bows with Copic markers, and I layered the round "pop" to give it some dimension.
The "Happy Halloween" sentiment is from a retired Unity stamp set. I really love the background paper on this card, too. It is an embossed chevron design from SEI. I *think* it is from the "Spooks" collection. Super fun and glossy!

Getting Old...

Today's share is a fun birthday card, filled with sarcasm. Kind of...but as a thirty-something girl, I can totally relate to the sentiment! Can you?

I paper pieced it with white and hot pink cardstock, then mounted it onto a cropped Spellbinders die cut. The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder. It was a challenge for me to do a "color pop" card like this because I love patterned paper and lots of color! However, I wanted to play along with this week's challenge at the Play Date Cafe. The challenge was to use black and white, with just a splash of hot pink. I missed the deadline to enter, but still wanted to give it a try! You just never know what technique will give you great results!
