I had a few minutes before heading out to an appointment this morning, and I thought I would play alongwith the April Sketch Challenge on The Craft's Meow blog. It was a pretty sketch-different from what I usually do, but I knew it would work with my one set of Craft's Meow stamps. And since I included that set in my April Counterfeit Kit, I had coordinating papers and embellies ready to go. Love that about my kits! Here is my card:
I used the Fly Free set from TCM. Not too shabby for a quick birthday card, huh? Thank you to my friend Lesa for my new flower frog, too! I have been wanting one of these to display my cards on-I love it!

A few spring cards...
Here area few spring-y cards that I made this week using my March and April Counterfeit Kits. The first one, with that adorable little fox, was made with scraps from my March kit. I used one of the sketches found on the Hero Arts blog, and I am entering it in this month's Hero Arts Challenge.
These next cards were made with my April kit. The first is based on a sketch from a CARDS magazine call.
This one is one of my all-time favorites, I think! So simple and a great way to use up scraps. I made my pennants by punching the ends with a Martha Stewart border punch.
Thanks for popping by today!

Lovin' Hexagons!
One of the April challenges from the MME blog was to use hexagons prominently on a project. I have been saving just bits and pieces from this older MME collection called "Love Me Do" just because I loved the colors and prints so much. Punched hexagons were the perfect way to use up these scraps to make a cute card!
I added a stamped sentiment from Hero Arts, a couple of heart die-cuts from the same MME collection, and a bit of stitching to frame my background. I think it came out quite cute. :)
Thanks for stopping by, and if you come back later I will have a few more cards from my April Counterfeit Kit to share!

Some Mother's Day Cards...
I had the best day today-got to spend it scrapping with my friend, Lesa. We both play along with the Counterfeit Kit Challenge, and we scrapped with our April kits today. I only finished 2 cards with my kit, but I really like them. :) All of the papers and stickers are from Basic Grey's "Nook & Pantry" collection, and the stamps were all hand-me-downs from my generous SIL, Patti. (Thanks, Patti!) For the "Happy Mother's Day" card, I pulled a few embellishments that weren't part of my kit-the velvet yo-yo, the stick pin and the resin flowers. That still counts, right? ;)
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope to get a few more cards scrapped with my kit during my last few days of vacation. Hopefully I can share them this weekend!

Birthday Girl
My "She Art" Card :)
I had to smile when I read my friend Lesa's comment on my Counterfeit Kit for this month-she said I went artsy! :) Usually my style is WAY on the cutesy side, so this month is totally different for me. I am having so much fun with it, tough! I was SO VERY HAPPY with my first "she art" project:
I used a brand new stamp set from {ippity} by Unity Stamp Co. called "Angie Girl: Dream with your Heart". You can get it HERE-just scroll down until you see my pic, click "Choose", and you will be linked to all of {ippity}s stamp sets.
I pieced her skirt from different papers in my April kit. The only thing that wasn't part of my original kit was the Studio Calico label sticker. This was leftover from one of my 2011 Counterfeit Kits-it was perfect for this stamped sentiment.
